I have been using Mercury Moving for years!! Known the owners, Garry and Jessica, since the first day I moved. When you speak about "family owned business" and the quality that you get out of them vs. a large organization, you want Mercury Moving. Not only are you getting the best, the highest quality of a MOVE you also get the emotional support you need when going through a move. This is a stressful time for most people and you want it to go seamless. Who wants more stress. Well I can say I am not the ideal customer as I say I am going to have it all packed and I don't get it all done. But here they come to save the day... They always seemed prepared for the unplanned. Have extra boxes, blankets, etc. This is the type of service you don't even ask for. They just do it. What amazes me ontop of their unbelievable customer service is the "move" itself. I have many pieces that weigh more than an elephant and are as delicate as a newborn baby and they manage to get these pieces around the smallest corner or through the narrowest hall. Yes... Without a scratch or knick on my delicate pieces!! Do they promise to be perfect?? No, no-one is but I tell you they work everyday to strive for perfection and that is why you get what you get when working with them. One last observation I had on my last move.. Their workers truly respect the owners and most have been their longer than you can imagine. And with the high level of respect they have for them is the level of dedication you get out of their workers when packing you and moving you. Job Well done Garry and Jessica. I recently used Mercury for a move from the North End to their storage facilities. I picked Mercury over their competitors for a few reasons:
- Staff – Everyone I have worked with is very nice, timely, and professional.
In the spirit of disclosure, this is my 5th move with Mercury over the span of 10 years (2006, 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2015). Over those years, my little sister and family members have hired them regularly as well. At my most recent move, Melvin and Santiago recognized me from prior moves… and remembered that my mom had given them fresh chicken eggs over the summer when they helped her. I’m almost positive there is no fancy CRM system helping them remember those facts. They remembered because they are all cordial, polite, and genuine people who care about the customers they work with.
- Communication – Mercury actually answers their phone when you call and they respond to emails. There might not be a wizard to calculate how much your move costs, but that is because a human being actually thinks about it. A human with extensive experience in how your move is different than the ones before it.
- Quality – They wrapped my Ikea purchases with the same care of my big wall mirror. It was impressive to watch them pack efficiently and with great care for everything. There are no newbies here – just experts.
- Pricing – As an added benefit, they have some of the best pricing in the market for an established company. You might find two guys with a truck offering you a better price, but Mercury comes with all the extras. Like how to properly wrap and pack a floor mirror, that weird lamp, or unscrewing the bracket that is above your reach.
